Today we bid a mortal goodbye
we have laughed...loved...shared
and cried together
a life time of memories
I hold in my heart
the joy of you will never depart

On quite wings you bid farewell
just for a while
till we meet
in the courts of our fathers
great palace in heaven
today I stand and cry
you touched my shoulder
wiped a away my tear
say to me I am with you here

I stand by you as you are gone
feeling the pain...yet strong
empty...without emotion
till I see you standing
there before me motioning
come to me and feel my love
I am as I will always be
here for you...trust in me

Remember me as I am
not as I was or should have been
touch me in your daily life
touch you I will in your time of strife
I have moved as you will to
through the cycle of life
I will be waiting
to greet you
opening the door
into this great eternal life
