Little Suare Box

I found myself, alone,
in front of this little square box...
searching,
For what, I did not know
but the unexpected was great and startling.
I diligently typed an ad
and posted it in hopes of sharing joy
and warmth that my heart did carry,
I was amazed by the many letters
I received from those who responded
to my few lines of sincerity.
I acknowledged each letter carefully,
for I did not know if they were true or fake,
Though I was a little hesitant,
I decided to put my heart and soul at stake.
After several days,
it was easy to pick the worthy one's out,
They were definitely people
that I would like to get to know
without even a doubt.
Through this little square box,
I have found dear friends
who would stand by me til the end,
To them, heartfelt thanks,
soft kisses and warms hugs I do send.
Do know that all that you have given me
shall be generously given back in return,
Love and friendship are treasured gifts
that you can only earn.
For all those wonderful friends who have captured my heart,
Do know that I do love you for accepting me
for who I am and know that our friendship shall never part.
**Like many others, I entered the world
of modern technology with a little hesitance and fear.
I discovered that if you are true to yourself,
then you can be true to others and this they shall see.
Many true friends have been found here
and I feel that I have been blessed.
I never thought there were so many
who shared my thoughts and feelings.
I have learned that there are many who have broken hearts
and I hope that I have brought them some hope and comfort.
