Its Warm but Cold...Its Winter

Its winter with her icicles
Hanging from the eaves
Its pavonine reflections
Running down my sleeves
The colors of the season
Lit by the Christmas glow
Its cold but yet the warmth shines through
As crispy breezes blow
Its reddened cheeks for wee ones
Its fur all standing proud
Its condensed body heat
Just as we laugh aloud
Its warming iced-up noses
From animals all snug
And if you ever noticed
You won't find a cold old bug
Insects hide in winter
They stay inside for heat
Those of us with minds that flow
Know winter can't be beat
Our pets and natures creatures
Love to run and play
On paws and webbed extensions
They love each warm...cold day
There isn't that much difference
We love to laugh and play
As long as cold can be made warm
We'll face each challenged day
The frost comes with a message
Its cold but nothing's new
Its just the time for seasons change
Tis winter iced and new.
