Missing you

I never thought that I would see the day,
When I would sit here alone in total dismay.
Love is what you have brought me,
But now emptiness has overtaken thee.
I find myself just sitting and staring into space,
Wondering why you have gone, have I brought
you disgrace?
Like a lost child , I search for a warm
hand to hold,
Longing for its comfort and safety from the cold.
Reality rests on a very fine line,
It all seems like nothing but a test of time.
Missing you is so very hard to put into words,
It may even sound silly or even absurd.
It feels like a big hole that has been burned into my heart,
Aching every second, every minute and every hour
that we are apart.
In days to come, my pain shall subside,
I will stop running and stop looking for a place to hide.
I have finally found the true meaning of missing you,
It is a feeling of wanting, needing and loving you.
