Poem

Momma's Turn to Cry

Sshhhhh, listen carefully
Hear the breathing in of sighs
Quiet...
While she 's grieving..
It's momma's turn to cry.

Hold your heart
She's weeping
Lying in her by-and-by
Careful with your talking
Its my momma's turn to cry

Lonely poor dear woman
She tried and tried and tried
Walk softly for she's aching
It's just momma's time to cry.

She's lost in all this hollow
This dirge fraught with her sighs
Oblige my mom her yearning
For its my Mother's time to cry.
