Poem

Majestic Oak

Majestically she grows her limbs
Her age is hard to guess
She fingers sky with every morn
Her moss a lovely dress
Her sighs the creak with every breeze
Her smile a whispered pout
She bends so gently to the east
A home to earthly shouts
Raccoons, opossums, birds and squirrels
A rope laced over digits hold
A swing for boys and girls
She drips down tears each time it rains
She heralds nature best
Majestic oak of ageless time
The Mother's eager quest
To hold open arms so wide
To nurture all she grows
To kiss the sky with open lips
With timeless love she flows
