Poem

Maybe Tomorrow

Waiting to meet the one who shares my love.
Waiting patiently in the shadows.
Waiting to smell the jasmine.

Wanting to dream the snowy sparkles of each mountain peak.
Wanting the senses to trip in delight.
Wanting to thrill with a gentle brushing touch.

Whispering the woody notes to circle and fill the heart.
Whispering rain drum-dances a merry beat.
Whispering leaves flutter in iridescent rhythm.

Willing these adventurous thoughts to fly.
Willing the winging ballet to capture the sky.
Willing the memories to sing of you and I.

Wake up say I, from this wistful dreamer's dream.
Wake and take another look into life's mirrored deeds.
Wake to find a wrinkled sigh and be content to breathe.

What? None shall ever swing an eye to mine,
While staring at the truth to take another bold step,
Which now feels the faceless airy breeze.

When will I find this one who kindly cares?
Why worry this lonely path with countless happy stones?
Wondering and graciously hoping maybe tomorrow.
