Poem

Me you See

Me you see before you
Silent I set
Yet I'm dancing and singing
Enjoying the wonders of life this day
I'm a carousel that never unwinds
I'm a butterfly that never dies
I'm with the flowers in the field
I'm laying in my yard
Watching cloud creations drift on by
At the store you might wonder why
I smile or maybe laugh
I don't know if its sanity or not
But its a song I carry with me
Its wanders and dreams
And dancing swirling all about
Inside of me
I'm trapped so,
movement hindered much
Pain captures my abilities
Hinders my speech
But when I am feeling nice
At least in side
I will soar,
I dance I laugh I sing
So if walking straight you see me skip a step
Or swirl the cart a circle step
It is me the wonder the magic of life
I hold it near for depression is severe
To be happy I need light, freedom and song
So my heart is singing
My mind is dancing
So if you hear humming
or an off key word or two
I guess it would be ok to laugh
But Id prefer you to join in
A friendly smile or a small bit of a hum to
After all it might not be me
I'm not one of a kind I think?
I enjoy my happiness but another could be hurt
So if you see any of these it could be me
Insanity or sanity
I have no plea
Save let me be
To enjoy my wonder
To sing my songs
As much as is allowed to me.
