Poem

Nights Go On Forever

My eyes a blur from senseless dreaming
My mind a constant waste
My nights are longer than forever
My needs are met in haste

These nights go on infinite
The shadows are my muse
The days are journeyed nothings
In misery I feel abused

The hopes and fears are paralleled
They run within my heart
The shine is rusted saline tears
They come and go...then start

Busted open ribboned wrapped
Token kisses...all now trapped
In memories all displaced and gone
Chills and tremors to the bone

Knees tucked high upon a chin
Long lip line where smiles have been
Sparks from azure turned to grays
Gone the nights and gray the days

Happenstance of a ghost
Forayed rape of the coast
Stagnate heart in packaged...wrapped
Meets and greets a heart...entraps

Silly stupid woman child
Get thee up and walk that mile
Leave to fester...rotting dreams
Garbaged up with trash and things

Timelines teach a lesson well
Foolish damsel in your hell
Pick your head up from your knees
Try a smile and don't you bleed

Learn from this and beckon those
Who only stand upon tip toes
To kiss the nose of one this blue
Must reach a doilied cloud or two.
