No Greater Love

There is no greater love than a mother's love,
She is an angel sent from above.
Her warm arms are always there to embrace you,
She is there whether you are happy or blue.
When you have fallen and skinned your knees,
She quickly picks you up and gives you a big gentle squeeze.
She wipes away every fallen tear,
With a loving kiss, she whispers I love you dear.
She watches you grow up so big and tall,
For this you are thankful she gave it all.
She is the one who has taught you right from wrong,
It is her love and strength that has made you strong.
She is the one in the crowd who claps the loudest,
Never afraid to tell everyone that
you have made her the proudest.
She is there when you become that beautiful bride,
Reassuring you that all will be fine
and she will be by your side.
She is there to hold your hand
when you bring into the world
your most precious one,
The first one to cry and tell you
what a great job you have done.
I shall follow in my mother's footsteps,
She has taught me the most important concepts.
My child will have what I have been given,
That loving and safe place that I call Heaven.
