My Lost Child

So much pain and anger held inside,
You do not share it instead you choose to hide.
It tears my heart apart to see you cry.
Let me hold you and take the pain away; let me try.
You are so lost and do not know where to turn to,
Come to me my child, I am here to help you.
I want to reach in and take it all away,
Never to let it see the light of day.
My greatest fear is seen within your eyes,
Seeing that darkness and hoping that it dies.
No child should have to face loneliness and despair,
This is not only wrong but it is not fair.
Do not let your life be controlled by anger and hate,
Open your heart to love and peace before it's too late.
Know in your heart that I will love you through good and bad,
I will not leave you during this trying time
that makes you so sad.
You are my one and only joy that
makes my life shine so bright,
Together we can beat this and find that everlasting light.
