Its a nature call...emotions speak. I'll rerun these happy times
When nature whispered in my ear and echoed a winsome rhyme
The tease of sunny streaks of bronze from tangerine arrays
The squint of tightly wrinkled eyes that shut out piercing rays
When big old sun greets tidal creeks with a soothing kiss
Then gently tickles fuzzy balls with a blooming bright caress
Her voice opens hungry mouths and melody begins
When symphony of morning light opens up the fen
Life begins anew each day for marshes and their crews
The long-necked Egret searching creeks for her nestlings' food
The running in and out of reeds as the Marsh Hen scurries back
Then forth to check for salty bugs or clicking fiddler crabs
The constant rock of a dock as a wake comes from the blue
Canoeing comes a sailor checking out this too
Not a cloud for me today this one is a special 10
No matter what a day can bring its special in the fen
The chaos of an outside world seems so far away
When otters, ducks and shrimp that hop take my breath away
I Feel so blessed to have the joy...the simple things in life
When others complicate their day with ordinary strife
I have that too but when I'm home the stress is lifted here
Where life is subtle but designed with complicated tears
The outside world of greed and money is taking yet this toll
When money speaks and others want to overtake these folds
This wonder of a wetland...the beauty of each day
The food chain that's endangered when silent voices pay
Tis nature's wondrous canvas...this one of dangered growth
Where civilized minds keep paper trailing natures undergrowth
The red ink comes and swallows up low country soft wet lands
But who looses here is natures life as we look by and stand
Quietly won't get it...shaking heads leave moans
Nothing seems to matter when nature has no home.
