Sir Richard's Poem

Thoughts of you are as everyday...as seconds are to time
I can dream each curled up lip as if each smile were mine
The sparkle you have when you look...way off to catch a dream
The stretch you give to movements from fingers in a life's stream.
The grin that wants to burst from laughter hiding in your head
The mighty ways you have so strong when others think too big
You scale that dream and go for broke and when I think you're through.
You take a step a little further just because you're you
You give everything you have to most everything you do
Then when I think you have no more you have much more to prove.
You...you are the genius...the child who is inside...
This man whose spirit runs to play and with his passions, bide
The amazing difference in a soul is when it isn't tired
Instead you hold out your wings Then take that draft and fly
You Dear Richard are a prince of royal feelings true
You beat a breath into my heart then take a little too
Just leave me something to get by in case there comes the chance
To hold much tighter to the dream that asked me here to dance
My dance card will always hold a chance to sway with you
To sip the moment just for tears that need the drying too
You are a handsome man of words and fondest dreams that play
So often thinking what if comes...and takes my heart away.
