Poem

One Magic Moment

I watched you as you danced, your
hair moving in slow motion through
the liquid air. Eyes reflecting gold
from softly glowing embers.

Your arms adrift, fingers playing
tunes in satin space--serpentine
and graceful; love winding through
the shadows and the mist.

I saw the colors form around you,
soft and playful colors mimicking
your every move, a living rainbow
flowing from your heart surrounding
floor and wall and shallow breathing
fire.

Alive it was, and moving, merged with
living space, sliding over time into
the brilliance of expanding mystery.
Your soul revealed in glory touching
mine.

No word yet born could say the beauty
of that hallowed place. No watchful eye
could glimpse the power of its subtle
glow. Eternity revealed outside one fleeting
inch of time, and then was gone behind
the mists of love solidified as time, and
space, and woman dancing by the fading
golden light.
