Ringing in the Millennium

In the soft cry of dawn the millennium speaks
It creeps over slowly and promises to keep
Away all the chaos the media provokes
The terror of nothing upon a fire steady poked
Tis the heed of fright from the ending of the year
Tis the beginning...yes the onset...of greatness not the fear
Its the challenge for the future that comes so very clear
Its the century of newness and its apprehended cheers
Stay home...no go out...ring in all the new
Yell for peace and love and not the ever blue
The down drafts of a media for papers to sell
Cheer for the millennium and let the tears well
The threshold of a promise of beauty with the bold
The vows of tomorrow with the passions we all hold
Dearly tuned with others the greatest century calls
Come ricochet the voices and fill up all the halls
Help us scream the difference beginning with just you
Me and all the others...earth and heavens too
Its the century of a difference the one to make the grade
The genius of tomorrow with gestures bought and paid
Its time for fires of love to light the eons of these years
Settle back for peace is here to ring in this New Year.
