Poem

Sweet Tears

I sit here and reflect upon the many, many years
The time I really felt you.. and when I knew your fears
The time I saw you standing quietly by the wall
The time I caught your eyes with mine
We loved there in the hall
I felt yours arms surround me then andknew your fire was deep
I wanted all you had to offer
Even in your sleep.
I knew you wanted me that day but I was afraid to ask
Why you had come this far for me and why this humble task?
Those muted words for a decade
That needed to be said
They weep still...each night, dear Love
My tears soak up the bed.
I fall alseep dreaming your smile and now your words echo
From a continent away I hear your whisper soft and low
Honey, my sweet, I always kept you deep inside my heart...
I whisper back, I know dear one you are my only spark
The one you etched while in that hall so very long ago...
The one you now have come to grip astride your great rainbow.
My heart it flutters and the beat...is more than I can take
Its here and now, its you my love...I'm close reach out and take
Take my hand and weave your fingers deep as though a knot
No boundaries...endings...just a beat, its there and running hot
It wakens more since you came home and sparkles with each beat
It drizzles down my neck from smiles and tickles then...my feet
You know I'm here, come get your love...It ferminted all these years
The sweetest wine made just for you with loving through my tears.
