Poem

Table for One

Time for lunch...its a beautiful day
No cloud in sight with warm sunny rays
Out on the veranda...shade sans the sun
Just me in Helen...table for one

Breads from Deutschland...taste buds run wild
Waitress in dirndls...missing tooth smile
Bright eyes all sparkled...money well spent
German...the flavor...with a southern accent

Quiet times for lovers who stay bedded down
Helen this city for the romantic bound
Me?...I'm the misfit...being alone
Wouldn't trade it for nothing when alls said and done

This silent observer...aloof from the rest
Dining on cold cuts, cheeses...the best
All from Deutschland with wonderful flavor
Passions for taste buds...willing to savor

Time for my coffee and start of my day
Falls in the forest with nature at play
Path of a butterfly...its gonna be fun
Its time to depart...this table for one.
