Poem

Tears Chase Sorrows

Memory's path worn and trodden
Evaporating pains rise quickly
As echoed tears awash...forgotten
Roll in distant years so thickly

Like a hum in ill refrain
Tears chase sorrow...
Comes again.

Lonely, distant memories
Send the good times back to me
Take away all my sorrow
Return my faith with good tomorrows

Like a hum in ill refrain
Tears chase sorrow
Comes again.

Heirloomed pieces shattered...gone
Memories spin in a vortex home
Broken crosses...hearts afire
Tweeks a twinge with hard desires

Like a hum-echoed refrain
Tears and sorrows...
Rise again

Blinded visuals choke decay
Ashes still awake each day
Love awash in a past gone sour
Wakens sorrow on the hour

Like a hum in ill refrain
Tears chase sorrow
Comes again

Ebbing woes of rusted years
Come alive in endless tears
Abundantly...this fated song
Never really did belong

Like a hum in ill refrain
Tears chase sorrow
Comes again.
