True Love or True Friendship

I am in awe as to what it is that I have to do,
What will it take to make it all seem real to you?
Love does not come in any one shape or form, nor is it demanding,
It is compassion, caring, understanding and giving.
For one to say I Love You is for one to give thyself to another honestly and truly,
It may be a love that is a true friendship that has been given freely.
The greatest love of all is the love that can be felt and held for an eternity,
It is when two people unite as one and travel together hand in hand through life's long journey.
Do not confuse the difference between true love and true friendship.
Both are given unconditionally and should be nurtured and worshipped.
It is better to have lost love than to never have loved at all,
Pain shall be pain whether it is great or small.
Learn all that there is when you make a mistake,
For you'll never know when the time comes when you shall again partake.
Do not deceive yourself or another,
It is either one or the other.
