Poem

Winter Days

A sad and troublesome time befalls us again.
With heart wrenching memories and holidays,
We struggle to keep faith of those we love.
To keep “Santa” alive in the eyes of our children,
Yet broken hearts and sadness is overwhelming.
The holidays are meant to be joyous, happy days,
And these are the very days that seem most difficult.
Missing lost loved ones intensifies now.
So it is now, now that we must hold on,
Hold the ones we love close.
Cherish every moment granted.
As the sun will rise at dawn, so shall believe.
We will continue on as before,
Teaching our children of “Santa” and more.
