Snowbirds

It is almost the month of November
The cold weather is getting near
Those warmer climates we remember
We don't think we'll make it this year

Many of us who suffer from pains and aches
Plans for the South would have normally begun
But now we do not have what it takes
To afford that second dwelling in the sun.

The State of Florida like to see us arrive
Moving in our thousands every season
Our spending helped to keep their economy alive
Now the cost of health insurance is beyond reason.

This gives all of us some cause for concern
You need the absolute certainty of good health
For becoming an hospital patient your sure to learn
You need lots of coverage or lots of wealth.

Ontario hospital coverage has been changed
The maximum allowance is only $400 a day.
Now it is a must to have adequate insurance arranged
For this you'll be surprised what you have to pay.

Another thing causing us some concern,
Is the considerable increase in crime.
With poor gun laws we're begining to learn
You could place your life on the line.

No one can dispute these obvious deterrents.
How they treat the old folk is beyond reason.
Lots of children will now see their grandparents,
During the festivities of the CHRISTMAS SEASON.
