The table was dirty, the tea was weak.
The waitress' snooty, she wouldn't speak.
There was no ketchup, the bread was stale.
I ordered a beer, she served me ale.
The salt was empty. the pepper too.
There were no vegetables in the stew.
The butter was rancid, the cream was sour.
The gravy was cold and thick with flour.
She spilled the water and stained my suit.
She dropped the tray and crushed my boot.
The knife was dull, wouldn't cut the meat.
I was so disgusted I couldn't eat.
I hollered Check! The waitress came
And continued playing her silly game.
For when I added the total amount,
You guessed it right, she couldn't count.
But to rationalize I'd have to say,
Well, I wasn't hungry anyway.
