If I had my life to live over,
Next time I'd forget foolish fears;
I'd relax, lighten up, take more chances,
And I'd count up the laughs, not the tears.
I would eat more chocolate ice cream,
Cut back on the burgers and beans,
I would go to more parties and dances,
And I'd listen to more tambourines.
I would then pick a lot more daisies,
I'd ride on more merry-go-rounds,
I would pause more often to wonder,
And I'd run with the fox, not the hounds.
I would try to travel much lighter,
Not worry about what to wear,
And I'd learn that life is far sweeter
When you do much more than your share.
