Steve Topping, The Fires Of Hell</head><body><center><center><img src=http://www.saviodsilva.com/p1.gif border=0 alt=Saviodsilva></center><hr color=3C00FF size=4><br><font size=4 face=arial><b><a href=75.htm>Steve Topping</a></b></font><br><center><img src=http://www.saviodsilva.net/poem/a/1.JPG border=0 alt=Poem></center><br><font size=3 face=arial><b>The Fires Of Hell</a></b></font></center><blockquote><blockquote><p align=left><font face=arial size=2><b>Into the dungeons and the fires of hell<br>As seen first hand and I will tell<br>Of the horrors of war and the missions we’ve done.<br>While serving our country, for peace for everyone<br>Cowering in fox holes and the shedding of tears<br>Wondering if life and the jitters of war<br>Will we ever get past life’s waiting door<br>And walk as we’ve done and will ever more<br>Mama! a shout as we wait for the dawn<br>A shape in the dark, with a raised hand pleading<br>Give me strength, to raise this flag high<br>Before a bullet cuts me down and I fall down and die<br>The horrors of war, as we stand here today<br>Angel of peace, be gentle and give me strength<br>To fight this horror as I look to the sky<br>Forgive me Lord , I don’t want to die<br>Mother of peace, I can see a light shining<br>Can it be a miracle, as we stand here so brave<br>Can it be a miracle, as we look toward the lights<br>And wish and wish, with all our mights<br>Yes!!
