Tex was going to the movies
And he sauntered down the stair
With Big Red, his Texas rooster
That went with him every where.
Startling each stunned beholder
As he flapped his scrawny wings
Sitting proudly on his shoulder
Like the hawks of ancient kings
Tex tried to buy two tickets
To the first row balcony
No chickens are allowed here!
Was the management's decree!
They were both so disappointed
So ol' Tex hatched out a plan
To get them both inside the place
before the show began.
He sneaked around the corner
And with a furtive glance
He quickly stuffed ol' Red the rooster
Down inside his pants!
He went back to the cashier's cage
He'd not accept defeat!
He bought a single ticket
And went in and found his seat
Beside two sweet old grannies that
were waiting for the show.
He knew he'd have to do something
To increase Red's airflow.
Now Red was squirming restlessly
'Cause it was hot down there
Tex stealthily undid his zip
So Red could get some air.
That man's undone his zipper, Kate
Said Meg, shocked and appalled!
Said Kate, I wouldn't worry,..you've seen one,
You've seen them all.
