I told my sister about this site, and she immediatley ordered that I post the following story. Well I never got around to it, as I went out of town last week, and was busy. Well in honor of my sister (who will bug me until I do so) I will like to share an experience we had. l don't (and I am sure alot of you) will not consider this a ghost story, but I think it is definatley in the supernatural realm.
My sister Carolyn and I were traveling from Florida to Georgia. It was dark out, and I will speculate the time to be around 4:00 am.We had recently got on the Florida turnpike and were south of Boca Raton Florida. Carolyn who is a notorious interstate sppeder was traveling well above the 65 mph speed limit at that time. I heard my sister say, "Now what is he doing out there ?" , and slowed down the car. I looked over the side of the road where she was looking, and asked her what she was talking about. She replied "That big black dog over there". Friends there was nothing on the side of the road, and she swore she could see this huge dog, as big as a Great Dane on the side of the turnpike in front of us. She slowed the car down further, and we began to climb a hill. On the way down, there is a curve, and we noticed a bunch of highway workers on the side of the road, setting up signs in order to start work on the highway. At the speed we had been traveling, we would have collided with one of the highway trucks and possibly been killed.
When I later asked her about it, she said she saw a huge black dog, on the side of the road, and he looked like he was about to go into the lanes. She was driving a new Toyota Celica, and knew if she hit the dog at the speed she was traveling, she would have almost totaled her car, so to try to avoid him she slowed down. She claims she saw this dog the eintire time she was passing him, and could even see him in the rear view mirror. I saw NOTHING. She credits this "dog" with saving our lives and looks at him to be a guardian angel. I don't know what she saw, but I am glad she saw something.
