My story sends chills down everybody's spine that I tell it to. We had moved into a rental house in this neighborhood that was right near a cornfield. We are a family of five. I have two daughters - 7 and 8 yeard old and my son was three at that time.

Anyhow, my two daughters were always fighting and arguing over little things. To scare them I would teel them that one day they would see something scary come out of the cornfield. The bickering continued. We had a small dog that was about a year old, he was very shy and distant really did not like to be handled by the kids kids. One night my husband had planned a fishing trip with his buddies, and the kids and I stayed home. the girls continued their fighting, I finally grew very upset and cursed. I told them that I had had enough and I hoped that the Devil would come in and scare them especially my middle daughter, they thought I was crazy. I then said that back in the days when you cursed with the Devil's name bad things would happen, thinking in the back of my mind that hopefully this would scare them into fighting they each went into their on room. Towards 11:30 that evening, wilson our dog ran into the hall way barking horribly as if someone was trying to strike him.

He was standing right outside my middle child's room as if trying to fight someone off. I could not believe my eyes, we stood there trying to see what he could be barking at. My middle daughter that was seven asked me what happended I told her that Wilson prolly was barking at the evil spirits to make her scared and not want to fight with my oldest daughter. I did not feel comfortable, I was in the back of my mind thinking what is really going on. Wilson then stopped barking and jumped up on my daughter's bed and made it a habit to sleep on her bed facing the entrance to her room.

He would do this off and on during late hours of the night, not realizing or feeling the horror, I would stand in the hallway and make my daughter sleep with me at times....Wilson our dog was hit by a car about 6 months later and we ended up moving out to another house but never figured out exactly what caused him to become so protective of my daughter and what exactly Wilson saw that he was so threatening....
