I live in a pub in whitchurch with my husband and a dog. the pub is over 500 years old. people tell me that the place has a ghost. many happenings have happened to me but never my husband. my daughter and 2 grand children 8 and 12 come over to stay every weekend. one weekend my eldest grandaughter had a friend over to sleep and rented out Poltergiest. they got comfatable in the lounge with duvets and sweets and watched the film. it didint scare them at and went off to bed.
The next day everyone went my husband flew off to out holiday home in spain to sort out the plumbing.
I got up the next morning at around 6am and decided to go downstairs and make a coffee. i put on my dresing gown and went to turn off the alarm. as i walked into the bar i saw a man wearing a black posh suit with a white shirt and black hat and shoes. i took a step back and the man dissapeard. i thought i was seeing things so went into the kitchen to make a coffee. i took it up stairs with me. at around 10am i heard the cleaner come in. i got dressed and had a wash and went down. today was my grandaughters birthday and had all ready opened all her presents. i said hi to the cleaner and made breakfast. i heard a noise and went to see what it was. the cleaner was sat down looking really scared. i asked her what was wrong and she said that she had just seen a man like the one i saw earlier. we let it go and got on with the day.
That evening i saw the man again stood under a black beam on the cealing. this time he didnt budge so i just walked away. my grandaughter was sat underneath the beam that evening while the ghost was stood there. he then began to fade away. when everyone was in bed i locked up. i saw a glowing figure of the man again under this beam so i told him to go away becuase i thought it was just my mind. it freaked me out that the cleaner had seen the sam ething as well.
the next morning i came down stairs and the beam had fallen down and pulled the cealing down and the place was in a right mess.
This is a true story of many which have happened to me.
