Before I begin my chilling tale, I want everyone to know, right now, it’s true. It’s as true as they get, and I know for a fact it’s true, because I was there.
It all began on a chilly Friday evening. I was out, walking the dog, with my best friend in the world, Alice. It was near the abandoned house on the river. We decided to take a short cut through the old cemetery. Alice was too scared at first, but then finally gave in. We were walking, and walking, and finally Alice began to realize nothing was wrong and we starting talking about guys, and the regular teen talk. All of a sudden Petey, my border collie, stopped walking and began to growl. His lip curled up, and he began to pull on his leash at an invisible thing. “Petey, what is up with you?” Alice exclaimed. Then, no lie, we heard voices. At first we couldn’t tell what the “people” were saying, but then we could hear bits and pieces of what they said and it sounded like this. “Ahahahah…come to me…hahahaha….don’t be scared… I wont hurt…together we could rule…”
We were so scared we began running, Petey at our side. All of a sudden, like someone had pushed us from behind, we feel over on the cold, cold, grass. I was almost to scared to bring up my head from its safe spot in my arms. When I did, I saw Alice, sprawled on the ground, and Petey, looking behind us, growling. “Alice!!” I whispered, not wanting to be heard by you know whom. I thought she was unconscious, and was about to pick her up and carry her home, when I heard muffled yelling, evil sounds. At first I thought the man was making the sounds, but to my horror realized it was Alice. Someone, somebody was inside her. When she looked up, her face was hideous, and her smile so evil, I shielded my eyes. She didn’t get up, but yet began crawling to a voice saying, “Yes!! Yes!! Come to me, yes!”
I was horrified. What was calling my best friend? I rushed up, afraid to touch Alice, even though, deep in my heart, I knew she wasn’t coming for me. Whatever was there possessed her, calling her, to its grasp. I ran up to her, and pushed her hard to the ground. Again she lay flat on the ground, and I was so scared of what she was going to look like and do when she came up. Fortunately, the shove had knocked whatever was in her out of her, and I still remember this to this day, as she will for the rest of her life, although she can’t remember being possessed, just she was looking at her life from above, and a man was calling her to him, calling, and saying, “Yes!! Yes!! Come to me, yes!”
