The horse trotted down the dirt path. The driver smiled as he saw two little children running around the woods.
You better be careful. These here woods are said to be haunted. The driver snickered and drove off. The two children looked at eachother.
do you think he was joshing? The little girl asked fearfully.
Of course he was. There is no such thingas ghosts. The boys smiled at the girl. Let's go play at the river.

Amber and her friends Kelsi, and Shelby were walking in the woods.
Hey why dont we go to the river? Dustin said he was gonna go fishing today. Amber quickened her pace as the other girls followed.
Amber, Cris told me two kids drowned in the river and their ghosts haunt the woods. Shelby looked scared. Amber sighed. She knew the story of the kids who haunted the woods. It was said they lead people deep into the woods and they were never seen agian or people always died somehow in the river.
Shelby. Amber conforted her. Dustin and I have been here hundreds of times and never seen ghosts. Amber continued her walk. All of a sudden she gasped. On the path was a circle of Roses. Did someone plant them that way? She wondered. No one else knows about this path. Anyone could have found it. She told herself and kept walking. Amber heard Shelby scream. She whirled around and saw a two pale figures behind her. A boy and a girl. They looked abut eight.
Hey. Amber waved at them. Do you want to play? They smiled and dissappered. Ever since that day the ghost came out and helped lost people, and played with the kids in the woods. No one was ever hurt or lost in the woods or the river ever agian. The two kids were name the Chirdren of the Wood, and were said to protect the woods.
