Well here's a story i heard from a friend. Reputedly, there's a video tape to support this story but i'm not sure. Well here goes...
Pulau Pinang is a hotspot for people to go to when they feel the need of a traditional Malay massage (urut). Maybe after this story, that might change. An aunt of my friend, loves to go to Pulau Pinang for the massage and goes to see this particular bomoh. This aunt will return to Singapore feeling good but strangely enough, her body will start to ache after a month or two upon returning to Singapore. So she'll keep on coming back to Pulau Pinang to see the bomoh for another massage. This went on for maybe half a year (i'm not sure) until the Aunt felt something was amiss so she hired a bomoh here to see if anything was wrong.
The bomoh went to the Aunt's house and started to recite some verses from the Holy Quran, while throwing some rice around the house. All of sudden, the Aunt went into a fit. I think is when the Camcorder started rolling. The Aunt was possessed. The bomoh asked Siapa kau? (Who are you?) Fear blanketed those who were there when the Aunt spoke. In the voice of a Malay child she replied Pontianak. The bomoh cooly questioned, Kau datang dari mana? In a sullen tone, the child explained. The bomoh at Pulau Pinang collected the souls of dead children who died early or met with a tragic death and made them to do his bidding, changing them into Pontianaks(plural?) The child explained that the bomoh sends them to follow the people who came for the massage home to make sure they return for more treatment by causing the patients' bodies to ache. The bomoh then asked Kau seorang sahaja? (You are alone?) Fear struck like a dagger into the hearts of those who were there when the boy retorted, Taklah! Ader banyak lagi! Dorang kat luar, tengah tunggu... dorang tengah kacau budak budak kat playground (No! There's more of us! They're waiting outside, disturbing the kids at the playground.)
I'm not sure how this story ended because i don't think my friend knew it but i think enough has been told to send shivers down the spines of those who have read this.
